The cadence parts are now posted under Battery Exercises. Front ensemble members, please remember that you will be involved in the cadence for parades and most football games.
Other updates to the site include more practice files:
-Individual Cadence Tracks
-Eights Bass Splits
-Concord Bucks ’10 Bass Split
-Front Ensemble Exercises
-New Podcasts for the cadence
*With the newer practice files I am only putting up one tempo b/c the files are getting too large. So, the cadence files are all at the final tempo (quarter note = 120). I recommend you use either smartmusic or a program like Audacity to slow down the files to any tempo you would like. You can download Audacity for free here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
*Please make sure you are thinking ahead and ordering the sticks and mallets you will need to get started this season. If you are in the battery you need to provide your first pair of sticks/mallets, this includes bass drum players.
Snare drums need a pair of Vic Firth Ralph Hardimons (SRH)
Tenors need a pair of Tenor Hybrids (STATH) and Aluminum mallets (MT1A-S)
Basses need a pair of mallets for their respective drum:
1 - MB1H
2 - MB2H
3 - MB3H
4 - MB4H
5 - MB5H
Front Ensemble members need a set (4 mallets) of hard yarn or cord mallets to get started until we are able to order new mallets for the ensemble.
As always, Happy Practicing!!!

The triplet rolls exercise has been updated. All that changed were the last two measures. Please download, print, and add to your binder the NEW version. You can recycle the old one! Practice files have been updated as well.
There are two new sections to the website. The section called, “Podcast” is something new that I would like to try so please check out the page and see if the first video works. The section called, “Resources” is a list of website links and two handouts that will be useful for your time as a percussion student at Concord.
Please check your email for this week’s practice assignments and remember to start getting in shape! Happy practicing!
